Employee Portal ("the App") is a private workforce application developed and published by Peak Insights (Advanced Solutions) and provided to the employees of companies that use the Peak workforce system. Your employer — the company that issued your sign-in account — acts as the data controller for your data; the App is used for attendance and workforce management. This policy explains what data the App collects, why, and how it is protected.

1. Data we collect

• Identity & profile: name, work email, phone, department, job, and other HR profile fields you view or request to change.
• Face / biometric data: a mathematical face template (not a photo of your face by default) used only to verify your identity when you check in/out.
• Location (precise, incl. background): your GPS location is collected only during an open work shift — it starts when you check in and stops automatically when you check out — even when the App is closed or not in use, to record field attendance.
• Device & usage: a device identifier (to bind one phone to one employee), app version, language, battery/network status with each location point, and diagnostic events.
• Messages & requests: HR-chat messages, attachments, announcements you read, and data-change requests you submit.

2. Why we use it

• To record attendance via face verification and to track field location during working hours.
• To secure your account (one phone ↔ one employee, PIN lockout, biometric login).
• To let you view your HR data, request changes (approved by HR), receive announcements, and chat with HR.

3. Legal basis

Processing is based on your employment relationship and your explicit in-app consent, in line with Egyptian Personal Data Protection Law No. 151/2020. Biometric and location data are processed only for the purposes above.

4. Storage & sharing

• All data is stored on the employer's own company server (Odoo). Face templates never leave the company server; Peak Insights does not receive or store your data on its own systems.
• Data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS. The on-device face cache is encrypted and erased on logout.
• We do not sell or share your data with third parties for advertising. Push notifications use Google Firebase Cloud Messaging (message metadata only).

5. Retention

Attendance and location records are retained for the period required by company policy and labour regulations, then archived or deleted. You may request deletion of your face template at any time through HR (this disables face check-in until re-enrolled).

6. Your rights

You may access, correct (via in-app change requests), or request deletion of your personal data, and withdraw consent, by contacting your HR department, or the App publisher at info@peakinsightsco.com. Declining consent means the App cannot be used for attendance.

7. Changes

We may update this policy; the "last updated" date will change and material changes will be communicated through the App.
